Rapaflo<\/strong> is usually taken as one pill per day before going to sleep. Silodosin is very effective in decreasing the need to urinate at night and during the day.<\/p>\n

Rapaflo<\/strong> is currently available as a generic medication.  Rapaflo is relatively more costly compared to other medications in the same class, such as Flomax<\/a> <\/strong>and Uroxatral<\/a><\/strong>.  The cost of Rapaflo (silodosin) is about $50-$250 a month compared to less than $20-$30 per month for medication such as Flomax and Uroxatral, which are available as generic medications.<\/p>\n

Silodosin (Rapaflo) Side Effects and What to Do If You Get Side Effects to Rapaflo<\/h2>\n

Side effects of Rapaflo<\/strong> are not very common. Most common side effects include dizziness<\/strong>, which typically resolves spontaneously within 2-3 days.    Men are usually advised to take Rapaflo at night before going to sleep so the dizziness, if it occurs, is not symptomatic.  If dizziness persists, switching to a different medication often solves the problem.<\/strong>  Some men may feel tired the next day after taking Rapaflo.  Lack of ejaculation<\/strong> can also occur in some men.  Ejaculation problems are not dangerous and reversible if medication is stopped.<\/p>\n

Ejaculation Problems and Rapaflo: Treatment Options<\/h2>\n

Rapaflo is associated with a lack of ejaculation in some men.  Lack of ejaculation<\/strong> tends to be a noticeable and bothersome symptom in men taking Rapaflo.  Men who are concerned about this side effect should be aware that this is not a dangerous side effect.  Often, switching to a different medication may resolve the problem.  Alternatively, Urolift for large prostate<\/a><\/strong> typically does not affect ejaculation and often improves ejaculatory function in men.<\/p>\n
