A ureteral stent<\/a> is an important safety mechanism for patients after kidney stone surgery (ureteroscopy, laser lithotripsy, PCNL) that prevents blockage and helps stone fragments to pass. There are other reasons that ureteral stents are placed, such as obstruction from a mass, ureteral stricture, or UPJ obstruction. Once the underlying problem has been solved, for example, kidney stones have been broken, the ureteral stent can be removed. Ureteral Stent Removal<\/p>\n
