Infected penile cysts<\/a>, shortening tight frenulum of the penis, and skin abscesses or infections can also lead to penile pain.<\/p>\n Pain that occurs in the penis, as well as the surrounding areas such as the perineum, pelvis, testes, and thigh,<\/strong> is often more difficult to treat. Not uncommonly, these painful symptoms are caused by more than 1 underlying problem. Some men qualify for a diagnosis of chronic pelvic pain\/painful bladder syndrome<\/a>.
