It also has a propensity for recurrence after treatment<\/strong>. There is an association between lichen sclerosus and penile cancer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Lichen sclerosus is one of the most challenging skin problems to treat, especially on the penis. Anti-inflammatory medications (creams) are often the first line of treatment for mild disease. These include corticosteroid and immune modulator creams.
