It has some similarity to other agents including Xtandi and Zytiga but has additional features that suggest that it may be even more effective.<\/p>\n The following studies are on-going:<\/strong><\/p>\n Galeterone is being studied in patients with high-risk prostate cancer without metastatic disease; patients with metastatic disease who have not received hormonal therapy; patients who have failed on Zytiga and Xtandi.<\/p>\n Galeterone pharmacodynamics is not affected by diet, and therefore can be taken with or without food.<\/p>\n Galeterone works through a number of different mechanisms that are active in patients with CRPC. The goal is to block Athe R-dependent proliferation of prostate cancer cells.
