The following are instructions that you will find helpful following your consultation with Dr. Shteynshlyuger.

 

Prescriptions

If you were prescribed medications, it was sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy within minutes of your visit.  In the event, your insurance company does not cover these medications or if you have no insurance, you can use a GoodRx coupon which can be obtained directly on their website.  This coupon can be reused.  Please be aware that independent pharmacies often offer better prices than the chain stores. It is worth comparing prices as they can vary widely.

You can go to: www.goodrx.com search for your medication and print the free coupon or text it to yourself. Bring the coupon and attached GoodRx card to present to your pharmacist.

If you want your prescriptions sent to a different pharmacy, please log to your “Patient Portal“, update your preferred pharmacy and request a refill to the new pharmacy.

Lab Orders and  Diagnostics orders 

If the Doctor is ordering tests such as blood work, urine tests, X-rays, or ultrasounds, you will need to retrieve the referral from your Patient Portal

For any sort of blood/urine test – you can go to the closest available Laboratory facility near your home. The most common Laboratory facilities are LabCorpQuest Diagnostics, and Bioreference; these labs have facilities all across the state/boroughs which you easily locate via their website. You can also schedule an appointment online to minimize wait time. 

Make sure you take the order from your patient portal, your picture ID, and your insurance card if you have any. For those who do not have insurance, Labcorp offers a discount for services using the attached coupon (if the tests are collected in our office, the coupon does not work at Labcorp service centers). The coupon needs to be attached to the bill that you receive from Labcorp and take 70% off the bill.

For X-rays, ultrasound, or any diagnostic order, the referral form has the facility name and phone number to schedule the appointment. ParkWest Radiology is part of Lenox Hill Radiology with locations all across New York and New Jersey for your convenience.

Our office hours are every Tuesday and Thursday between 10 am to 6 pm and on alternate Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm.

For the convenience of our patients, we also have a patient portal option which you can use to schedule or reschedule your appointments.

If you do not have health insurance, we offer affordable prices and financing options for self-paying patients. 

We see patients who are uninsured and pay out-of-pocket as well as patients who have health insurance. For patients without insurance or those paying out-of-pocket, we offer affordable prices and payment options.
