Testicular implants are performed in our office or at one of the top hospitals or surgical centers. The procedure takes less than 1 hour. Men go home the same day after the procedure. Men are able to return to work within 1-2 days after the procedure.

Our practice specializes in the treatment of sexual problems in men including testicular implants for men who have lost a testicle to cancer, infection, or trauma. Many men experienced sudden pain in the testis followed by loss of testicle without seeking prompt care for testicular torsion. The testis can also be lost to cancer, as a result of testicular surgery. Testicular volume is often lost due to the long-term use of testosterone replacement therapy.

A testicular implant can restore the normal appearance of the scrotum and can help with confidence and intimate relations. The absence of a testicle can cause low self-esteem, lack of confidence, and difficulty with new relationships. A testicular implant can correct anatomical abnormalities and can help to restore the normal appearance of the scrotum (ballsack).

Some men have very small scrotum (ball-sac) due to the loss of a testicle. We offer scrotal expanders to restore scrotal volume prior to the placement of testicular implants.

Most men are able to return to work within a few days after the procedure.

Low testosterone levels are also common in men with missing testicles. Treatment for low testosterone can help with energy levels, stamina, and general well-being.

We also treat erection problems in men including symptoms such as difficulty obtaining good erections, difficulty keeping an erection hard, and weak erections. We treat men of all ages, from adolescents to men in their 90’s. ED can be associated with high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, and low testosterone. Dr. Alex Shteynshlyuger is a board-certified Urologist with many years of experience successfully treating these problems.

Cost of Treatment with Testicular Implants at New York Urology Specialists

The cost of treatment with testicular implants is covered by most health insurance plans and Medicare. We will be happy to check your insurance coverage for implant coverage.

For men without insurance or those paying out-of-pocket, we offer affordable prices and payment options. Initial visit fees start at $285 and follow up visit fees start at $185. The cost of the procedure depends on the number of implants needed (1 or 2) and where the procedure is performed.

We offer free insurance verification. We can check your coverage and estimate costs before your visit. To do so, we require the following information:
1) Your MEMBER ID number
2) Your Full name
3)Your Date of Birth.

It is our policy that patients must pre-pay the cost of the procedure. If you have health insurance, we will file a claim with your insurance company to try to obtain partial or full reimbursement for you. However, how much and whether your insurance company will cover the costs of the procedure is not under our control. Not all insurances cover testicular implants, and your coverage depends on your plan benefits.

Please be advised that a charge of $50 will be applied as a penalty for appointment cancellation within 72 hours of the appointment. A charge of $250 will be applied as a penalty for testicular implant procedure cancellation within 7 days of the procedure.

We accept payments by cash, credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, and Zellepay.com Low interest or 0% APR credit options for your medical and non-medical expenses are available. Other payment options include: no-interest or low-interest credit cards, medical loans such as CareCredit. For patients who have Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA) the cost of services can be paid with your HSA/FSA card.

Our office hours are Tuesdays from 10 am to 4 pm and Thursdays from 10 am to 6 pm. We are open on alternating Saturdays from 10 am until 2 pm. You can see our next working Saturday appointment availability online.
