Do Condoms Protect Against HPV?<\/h2>\n

Using condoms can lower the chances of an HPV infection. But, condoms are not foolproof <\/strong>because they only cover a portion of the genitalia. You can also decrease the chances of getting genital warts by avoiding unprotected sex with many different partners.<\/p>\n

Sexual intercourse with people who have a history of genital warts or who have not been vaccinated for HPV should also be avoided to lower your risk of genital warts.<\/p>\n

Condoms are only partially effective<\/strong> in reducing the risk of HPV infection. HPV is transmitted through close contact of skin and internal surfaces or secretions.
