Effective Treatment of Urinary and Sexual Problems for Women of all Ages<\/h2>\n

Treatment of Urinary Problems in Women<\/h2>\n

We treat urinary problems in women of all ages, from early adolescence to the late 90s.  We commonly see women with blood in the urine.  We also treat women with urinary control problems that include frequent urination, urinary urgency, and problems with urinary leakage or urinary incontinence. We offer some of the most effective treatments, including medical therapy, minimally invasive tibial nerve neuromodulation, and sacral nerve neuromodulation. We will also offer neuromuscular injection treatment for overactive bladder and urinary incontinence.<\/p>\n

We also treat women with bladder stones and bladder polyps, including bladder cancer.<\/p>\n

Treatment of Sexual Problems in Women<\/h2>\n

We have extensive experience treating sexual health problems in women and their partners.  At New York Urology Specialists, we treat women with pelvic pain, perineal pain, clitoral pain, and hypersensitivity.  We will also treat age-related sexual problems in women related to menopause that include vaginal and urinary burning, dryness, and other symptoms of the genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM).  We offer medical treatment as well as surgical treatment of problems such as clitoral phimosis.  We also treat co-existing problems such as urinary urge and urinary incontinence that adversely affect female sexual health.  As part of a comprehensive treatment offering, we also treat male sexual partners for common problems that adversely affect female partner sexual satisfaction, such as premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, phimosis, frenulum breve, and Peyronie’s disease.<\/p>\n

We offer comprehensive testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections in women, including HPV, HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, and mycoplasma.   We are one of the few practices that offer HPV vaccination and treatment of genital warts in women.  STD testing and treatment are also available to sexual partners.  A couple of appointments are available.<\/p>\n

Treatment of Kidney Problems in Women<\/h2>\n

Our urologist specialists are experienced in treating women with renal cysts, angiomyolipoma, lipoma of the kidneys, as well as kidney stones.  We will also treat women with hydronephrosis caused by obstruction from ureteral stones, cancer, and scarring.<\/p>\n

Treatment of Menopausal Symptoms Affecting Women’s Sexual and Urinary Health<\/h2>\n

Menopause often brings a number of urinary as well as sexual problems to women.  Some of these problems are coincidental and related to aging.  Other problems are related to hormonal changes associated with menopause.<\/p>\n
