Virtual Care – Real-Time Video Visits

For patients physically located in New York State and Pennsylvania, we offer complete evaluation and treatment for urological conditions using Virtual Care. We are able to prescribe medications, order tests including blood tests, urine tests, and radiological tests (X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound).

For patients located outside New York State and Pennsylvania and for international patients, we offer Advisory Consultations to their treating physician for certain medical problems.  Unless you are an existing patient, we cannot prescribe medications to patients outside New York and Pennsylvania. Your local doctor will need to evaluate and treat you and may take our advisory opinion into consideration at his/her discretion.

At this time, for your convenience and safety, initial appointments for all new patients (with rare exceptions) are performed virtually through real-time video connection with the New York Urology Specialists doctor.  There are numerous benefits to patients from having the first appointment virtually:

What to Expect Before and After Virtual Video Visits at New York Urology Specialists?

You will be asked to fill out an electronic form with your personal information, including your medical history and symptoms. A clinical specialist at New York Urology Specialists will contact you to verify and clarify information. If you have any questions, we are always available to help. 

You will be provided an appointment with the doctor and a link to join the Video session. You can use any phone (iPhone or Android, such as Samsung, Google, LG, Huawei, etc), tablet, or computer with a camera and a microphone.  Please find a private space where you can discuss your medical problems confidentially with the doctor.

Any prescriptions for medications will be sent electronically to your local pharmacy.  Prescriptions are typically received by your pharmacy immediately after the end of the consultation.   Orders for blood and urine tests will be sent to your Patient Portal, which you can access 24/7 on your phone or computer.
