Foreskin Inflammation After Sex. Cuts on the penis.
RD is a 51-year-old man who presented with a request for adult circumcision. He has no problems with the foreskin. He reports that his erections have not been as hard as they used to be. He wants to have a cosmetic circumcision for hygienic and appearance reasons.
Physical examination revealed a normal penis.
The patient was given prophylactic antibiotics to minimize the risk of infection and pain medications. He underwent sleeve circumcision and frenuloplasty in the office. The procedure was done under local anesthesia and took about 1 hour. The patient was able to go home 20 minutes after completion of the procedure.
On follow-up 1 week after the procedure, the patient reported that he had some pain with erections in the first 2-3 days, feels better now.
The patient was seen 3 weeks later. The scar was noted to be well healed. The patient reports no pain, no other complaints. The patient was advised that he can resume sexual activity in 1 week.
On follow up 3 months later, the patient reports no complaints, no pain, no change in the sensitivity of the penis. The patient was advised that no further follow up is necessary as everything has healed well.
