Testicular Ultrasound: What You Need to Know

Scrotal and testicular ultrasound is performed in our office. The testicular ultrasound takes 15 to 30 minutes to perform with minimal discomfort.

We use high-resolution Siemens and GE ultrasound machines that produce the highest-definition images possible.

Scrotal and testicular ultrasound is useful in evaluating testicular and scrotal problems as well as testicular pain, testicular masses, scrotal swelling, low testosterone, and hematospermia. Testicular ultrasound can detect testicular cancer, infection, or inflammation of the epididymis or testis, epididymal and testicular cysts, among other problems.

Testicular ultrasound is also used for guiding a testicular biopsy.
