What is Xiaflex? What is Xiapex?
Xiaflex and Xiapex are trade names for collagenase used for the treatment of Peyronie’s disease. Xiaflex is a tradename used in the USA/Canada. Xiapex is exactly the same medication with a different trade name in Europe.
Xiaflex Cost
The cost of Xiaflex depends on a number of variables including insurance coverage, insurance deductibles, and co-insurance costs. For patients without insurance, we offer discounted rates on treatment with Xiaflex. Patients who cannot afford Xiaflex copays and deductibles may be eligible for the Patient Assistance program that offers discounts to patients who cannot afford Xiaflex.
Office visit fees and administration fees are additional; these cover first and subsequent 12 visits plus all relevant procedures (injections, penile ultrasound, etc). Please contact us for current pricing on Xiaflex.
Insurance Coverage
Xiaflex is covered by all major US health insurance plans. Precertification is necessary and typically takes 1-2 weeks. All associated costs including doctor visits are typically covered by health plans. Health insurance does not cover the cost of penile traction devices.
For patients outside the USA, partial or full insurance coverage for Xiaflex may be available for treatment in the USA depending on your insurance company. We can investigate your insurance eligibility and see if your insurance will cover the costs of treatment.
Discounts may be available for some patients from the manufacturer as well as income-based charitable contributions to costs of care.
