Xiaflex Treatment for Peyronie’s Outside the US
Xiaflex (also known as Xiapex in Europe) is not currently available in many countries around the world, including many countries in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. We are able to provide treatment for men with Peyronie’s disease from other countries in our offices in New York.
Due to pharmaceutical laws and regulations, Xiaflex cannot be shipped from the United States to other countries.
For patients from Europe, Japan, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East interested in Xiaflex, please review the criteria we use for Xiaflex administration. The basics are that one must have a curvature greater than 30°, the plaque should be palpable, and you should not be taking blood thinners.
If you decide that you want to receive Xiaflex in our practice in New York, you would need to travel to New York for consultation. We would also need to perform a penile ultrasound. When scheduling an appointment, please make sure that it is scheduled on a day when we perform a penile ultrasound.
Please contact us about the current Xiaflex pricing and associated costs.
Timing of Xiaflex Administration
If you are a candidate for Xiaflex and you decide to proceed, you would need to prepay in full for the first 2 doses of Xiaflex. We stock the medication in our offices. The first and second injections are then administered over a course of 4-5 business days. We are open on some weekends, so it is possible that you may be able to receive one of the doses on a weekend. You can read more about Xiaflex scheduling and timing.
While typically the next cycle of Xiaflex is administered 6 weeks later, one can wait longer without any significant effect on the success of treatment.
